My passion besides foreign words is MUSIC. 

I was born in America to a family of UN diplomats and a dynasty of translators. To many of my colleagues on both sides of the pond I am just a high-level conference interpreter, but in the Russian bohemian circles ...

... I am best known as FAT, the founder and former bass player of a famous punk rock band called NAÏVE (НАИВ-Rus.) www.naive.ru  

​In 1990, with advancement of perestroika in USSR, I began writing for various magazines and fanzines, including Moscow Rock Laboratory’s SDVIG and San Francisco’s MAXIMUMROCKNROLL, covering Russian and American alternative music scenes.
